Nissos Beer
With a sunny logo and the word Nissos -which means island- as its name, this unpasteurized, artisanal beer, brewed and bottled in very small quantities in the island of Tinos, is a unique product that shares the essence of Cycladic culture through experience: The flavor and aromas of a hand-crafted beer, become emblematic not only of the island of Tinos, but of a creative and forward-thinking approach aligned with the best of Cycladic identity.
During our last visit to the island of Tinos, we dropped by the modern microbrewery, where specialty malts, aromatic hops and yeast of the highest quality are combined in a slow, traditional, all-natural brewing and fermentation process, to give a full-bodied Pilsner beer that is well composed and easy to drink.
Having enjoyed a refreshing beer at the end of our visit and another one some hour later during a mid summer walk in the golden hills of Tinos, we felt that this special beer created an aromatic background wonderfully blended with all sorts of pleasant island memories: memories and flavors highly appreciated, as they bring a ray of sun on this grey November Monday.
