And the light… The magical, purifying Aegean light that merges the island contour with the line of the horizon and unites sea and sky.
It’ s this light that I miss every time I leave my island; it’s this light that makes my heart sing.
It is noon and the Aegean Sea shines like a mirror.

I am in Athens, locked in my room with my air-condition and the 40oC outside. When I read your post I felt so lucky for our sun. You are so right. This is what I also miss every evening, wherever I am, in Athens or in the islands.
